Presentation: Lianne Harris on “Garden Stories of Famous Flowers”
A beautiful flower garden in the past was a sign of culture–but also great wealth . . . and maybe a bit of bribery, smuggling and extortion as well. For a time, the competition between nobility for the most extravagant gardens was the talk of the courts – and the secrets within.
Let Lianne Harris lead you down the garden path for 1-hour and find out: Where did these flowers actually come from? Why were they so special? What do their names mean and what human characteristics do we attach to each in our development of The Language of Flowers? After this, you’ll no longer be a stranger in paradise!
