Presentation: Paul Zammit will be speaking on “Fall Gardening Practises” (Paul will also be creating a fall container).
Check your October newsletter for activities. Doors open at 6:30pm. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
Show Exhibits to be entered between 6:15 and 6:50 pm on the evening of the show. Exhibits to be picked up at the conclusion of the meeting. Exhibitors are limited to ONE entry in each Design class.
DIVISION 1 – Design
Theme: The Colours of Canada
Class D1: Gourd to go a design incorporating gourd(s)
Class D2: Seedy Monday a design using seed pods using fresh and/or dried material
Class D3: Thanksgiving a table centrepiece—OJES p 137
Class D4: Pumpkin a design using a pumpkin as a container accessories allowed—OJES p 129
Class D5: Fall Colours a design of your choice accessories allowed—OJES p 129
Class D6: Fall Fun a design using a pumpkin as a container accessories allowed (age 10 and under)
Class D7: Fall Fun a design using a pumpkin as a container accessories allowed (ages 11 to 16)
DIVISION 2 – Horticulture
When 2 or 3 items are required in an exhibit they must be the same cultivar/variety/species. Foliage required unless otherwise stated.
Class H1: Aconite (Monkshood) 1 stem
Class H2: Marigolds 3 stems
Class H3: Toad Lily 1 stem
Class H4: Chrysanthemums 3 sprays
Class H5: Any other flower named (no roses) 1 stem not mentioned above
Class H6: Rose 1 bloom or spray attached to stems
Class H7: Fall coloured leaves 1 branch exhibit must not exceed 30”
Class H8: Fall berries 1 branch
Class H9: Onions mature bulbs 3 specimens
Class H10: Aubergine 1 specimen
Class H11: Carrots no foliage 3 specimens
Class H12: Potato largest no foliage 1 specimen
Class H13: Chard or Kale 3 stems in water
